      Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a high-growth, fast-moving group within Amazon where new and diverse challenges arise every day. AWS Finance seeks a Finance Manager to support the GenAI team within the Startup Sales organization. This role provides leadership and strategic support including key project analyses, metrics development and reporting, planning and forecasting. The successful candidate will be able to think strategically, tactically, and analytically. They will have a demonstrated ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, financial analysis, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives.

      The candidate will be responsible for developing tools and instrumentation necessary to address business opportunities, creating analytics to measure the effectiveness of business strategies as well as setting strategy, direction and prioritization for team. The role requires a self-starter who will operate with significant autonomy while supporting senior business leaders and delivering results.
      Key Responsibilities Include:
      - Collaborative interaction with stakeholders at multiple levels and lead teams to define and deliver solutions.
      - Drive business reviews and create mechanisms that promote accountability and high standards.
      - Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical and process constraints.
      - Foster constructive and proactive communication across organizational boundaries.
      - Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities.- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
      - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
      - 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
      - 6+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
      - 3+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
      - MBA, or CPA
      - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase or Cognos) and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses to management for strategic decision-making

      Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
