      Job Summary

      To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Finance Manager to the Sheldahl team (A Flex company) located in Northfield, MN.

      Reporting to the Controller, the Finance Manager will be responsible for coordinating/managing all activities related to month end, forecasting and budgeting of the incumbent organization in order to ensure accurate financial statements and forecasting in support of the business and in compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act. Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies in order to ensure accurate data that is in compliance with corporate and legislative requirements.

      What a typical day looks like:

      • Lead financial periodic closing, analyze accounting records and reporting.
      • Prepare/Review Journal Vouchers with appropriate supporting documentation 3. Prepare/Review BS Recon, Capex forecasting, WIF and support monthly accounting process.
      • Enhance the month end close and forecasting procedures through strong collaboration with GBS and other departments in the site.
      • Perform comprehensive monthly analysis on Forecast/WIF vs Actual for all P&L and BS Accounts and share the outcome with the controller.
      • Adhere to Direct Material Standard Cost, Capitalization or Direct Labor and Manufacture Overhead in Inventory, Monthly Purchase Price Variance, Cycle Counting, Inventory transfer policy and other applicable policies.
      • Generate insightful reports on variances in financial results and key operational metrics, working in coordination with the GBS and relevant functional departments on/off site.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and optimize expenses, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and contribute to the formulation of cost-saving strategies.
      • Initiate & participate in process improvement initiatives and new system design and implementation.

      The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
      • 3 – 6 years of related experience.
      • Understanding of the manufacturing process.
      • Strong background on activities related to cost accounting, revenue, forecasting, GL, AP/AR.
      • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
      • 100% onsite availability.
