      In this role, you'll:

      • Join the Community & Place Branch within the Regional and Outer Metropolitan (ROM) Division on a Permanent Full-Time basis.
      • Be ideally based out of Parkes and provide specific technical and business advice and guidance on all areas of financial management, including expert financial analysis, and performance reporting to allocated business group/s within ROM.
      • Be responsible for managing up to 4 direct reports whilst working in a close-knit team environment where you will be able to develop teams across a range of financial management services.
      • Ensure financial data is current, accurate and comprehensive while picking up discrepancies. Focus on continuous improvement and enhancement of financial and management reporting systems thereby improving accurate and complete financial information and analysis.
      • Lead and develop the implementation of sound finance policies, procedures, service standards, business rules and work plans.

      The successful applicant can be based anywhere in NSW, however, it would be essential to be available to attend the Parkes office approximately every 6 weeks.

      About you

      A dedicated Finance Manager who can develop and maintain internal and external business relationships and resolve contentious issues and provide concise, financial advice to senior management on business-critical financial issues within a tight deadline.

      To be successful in the role you will have demonstrated experience in delivering strategic financial management and reporting services in a complex financial environment. An advanced level of Excel skills is also a must.

      Passionate about managing a team within a fast-paced environment and you'll role model what ‘good’ looks like when it comes to seeking and applying the best standards, encouraging your team to learn and embrace challenges and empowering those around you to deliver better outcomes for our customers.

      Strong communication, analytical, and people skills paired with exceptional problem-solving abilities.

      This is an exciting and rare opportunity for you to manage 1400 projects totalling over one billion per annum across the team!
