- Attend key meetings with the business management teams and provide guidance, challenge and support.

- Deputise for the Head of Finance.
- Extensive professional development to remain relevant with all technical updates, especially IFRS 15.
- Possess a strong level of knowledge and use of ERP systems and be able to analyse and interrogate data.
- Demonstratable skills with using Excel, ideally with power query and power BI knowledge plus PowerPoint, Teams & Word.
- Ability to adapt to changing deadlines.
- Have the capacity to work flexibly.
- ACA / ACCA / ACMA / CIMA or similar / equivalent qualifications.

The role
As a Finance Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Following a reorganisation of the Nuclear Babcock Finance department we have an opportunity for a highly skilled and focused individual to join our team.
Day to day, you’ll be reporting to the Senior Finance team, the actual and forecast P & L, balance sheet extracts, operating cash flow and orderbook with variance analysis and recommendations for the relevant area of the business unit; all the while supporting the preparation of the technical accounting papers for revenue recognition.This role is full time, 36 hours per week, and will be based at either our Devonport Royal Dockyard or Babcock Technology Centre sites, with hybrid working from home arrangements.

Qualifications for the Finance Manager:The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
