- Financial control: Responsible for ensuring robust financial control across all processes, including accurate reporting, compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and safeguarding of company assets. Lead the year-end financial audit
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure application of and adherence to organizational standards and best practices in value management for consistent and accurate tracking and be a thought leader on control frameworks for new organizational processes.
- Forecasting and Financial Support: Lead forecasting and financial close processes by collaborating with corporate finance teams and ensuring accurate data analysis and reporting.
- Value Tracking: Support the creation and implementation of methodologies to track project performance, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Value Realization Reporting: Aid in monitoring project value delivery and contribute to regular reports that inform stakeholders of progress and areas needing improvement.
- Tool and Dashboard Development: Assist in developing tools and dashboards for real-time project performance visibility, providing crucial information to leadership.
- Data Analysis and Support: Analyze data to support insights and recommendations for enhancing value delivery, and assist in reviewing project strategies and tactics.
- Decision Support: Provide support in valuation analysis and decision-making for key project workstreams, aiding strategic choices and resource allocation.
- Planning and Target Setting: Contribute to target setting and long-range planning, working with cross-functional teams to align project initiatives with strategic vision.
- Years and Type of Experience:
- 6+ years of professional work experience in finance and accounting
- Prior experience with financial valuation techniques
- SAP (preferred) or other ERP systems experience
- CPG industry experience preferred
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence teams
- Experience in interpreting accounting principles and incorporating learnings into project financials
- Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong excel modeling capabilities highly desirable
- Experience with valuation modeling (DCF, Perpetuity, IRR, WACC, etc) and financial valuation techniques.
- Understanding of Business Planning and Close activities
- Strong analytical skills needed to evaluate and consolidate large quantities of data
- Excellent written & verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills
- Strong planning and organizing skills
- Ability to identify process improvements opportunities and implement the appropriate process modifications
- Ability to work on cross-functional activities and form solid business relationships
- Ability to take personal ownership of project tasks and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Education Level/Degree:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- MBA, CPA, CFA a plus, but not required
