JOB TITLE FINANCE OPERATIONS (RFO)

REPORTING TO FINANCE DIRECTOR

LOCATION Istanbul / Turkey

MAIN PURPOSE

Based in Istanbul, Turkey, the Finance Operations Manager will oversee the Finance Operations activities for Turkey, reporting to the Finance Director. The Finance Operations Manager will act as a key member of the Finance Function and as a primary business partner to the Maisons and Functions providing assurance that compliance with policies, procedures and controls in retail and e-commerce finance operations and other related business processes, are in accordance with Group Policies and Procedures.

In particular, the Finance Operations Manager will ensure adequate design of retail and wholesale business processes and monitor effectiveness of the underlying controls. They will acquire a thorough understanding of Richemont’s business and, where deficiencies are identified, partner with process owners to customize and implement viable remediation plans. From time to time, the Finance Operations Manager will also support special projects or reviews as assigned/ requested by Management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Retail & Wholesale Policies & Procedures (P&P)

1. Responsible of the updating and administration of retail and wholesale finance operations policies & procedures.
2. Define the annual training calendar on P&P and administer such trainings to retail and office staff on periodical basis.
3. Be the point of reference and give advice to retail management on interpretation and application of P&P.
4. Liaise with related Group Functions and Maison HQs on P&P updates, compliance, and control measures.

• Commercial Finance Operations

1. Key business partner with the payment service providers (PSP) while ensuring optimal service levels, wide acceptance portfolio of payment channels, and competitive pricing.
2. Development and continuous improvement on key retail business processes that contribute to elevating the client’s experience including invoice digitalization, process re-design, network changes, digital and innovative solutions for best-in-class service levels.
3. Plan, manage and ensure compliance and proper monitoring of Maison commercial events.

• Controls and Compliance

1. Enforce Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements and regulations as per local government, international and Richemont Group’s requirements.
2. Daily monitoring of retail sales transactions (daily collections and deposits, reconciliations, refunds).
3. Periodical control of retail discounts, gratuities, consignments, deposits as per the Maisons commercial policies.
4. Responsible for the planning, monitoring, and reporting on boutique stock cycle counts across the market with direct escalation line to the Finance Director on non-compliance and stock discrepancies.
5. In close cooperation with the Financial Controlling and Reporting team, coordinate the controls over the Maisons inventory of valuables, spare parts, and others (yearly stock-takes, cycle counts, consignments’ monitoring, reception, and transfer of stocks from the shops).
6. Coordinate and assist in the annual audit plan’s execution of the market’s boutiques in close cooperation with the Internal Controls department.
7. Promptly communicate identified deficiencies to the Finance Director and management. Provide value added and pragmatic recommendations to address control weaknesses and process inefficiencies.

• Performance management

1. Provide retail business analysis to the Maisons on metrics relating to performance and compliance
2. Ad hoc analysis as required .

• Training and Development

1. Ensure that Maison/ Function new joiners are adequately orientated to the Finance Operations function.
2. Keep abreast with Group/ Regional Policies and Procedures and extend feedback to Group, Regional and other market Finance Operations members/ Internal Audit teams on retail control related issues.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Degree in Business with emphasis on Finance, Accounting, or similar course.

Experience

• Relevant working experience in retail controls, policies, procedures, and loss prevention, within an international company.
• Good understanding of retail risk management, Finance & Accounting practices, and fraud concepts.
• Ability to carry out reviews and compliance testing to ensure that procedures are operating effectively with appropriate controls.
• Ability to understand complex processes, document, and embed controls within processes

Technical skills / abilities

• Strong accounting and reporting skills
• Extensive knowledge of accounting department processes
• Knowledge of computerised accounting system – especially SAP
• In depth knowledge of International Accounting Standards / IFRS
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools, including MS Teams, SharePoint
