      Amazon is looking for a Finance Risk Manager to join Finance Operations Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) Controllership. In this role, you drive controllership across FOAA globally. You identify risks, perform inspections, and apply your subject matter expertise to assess controls that impact accounting and financial reporting. You will collaborate with process owners to develop actions that remediate or mitigate risks. You will contribute to FOAA MBRs and QBRs. You will also contribute to ad hoc projects that improve controllership (e.g. increasing quality of documentation to substantiate transactions, review FOAA policies for consistency and completeness, etc.). The ideal candidate has strong accounting, audit, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

      FOAA owns the accounting for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, plus the reconciliation of 60K balance sheet accounts.


      Key job responsibilities
      • Operate independently, work well with cross-functional teams and ambiguous situations.
      • Work with stakeholders at or above your peer group to influence without authority.
      • Collaborate directly with global teams.
      • Propose controls to solve risks identified and influence the adoption of best practices.
      • Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis, and presentation of alternatives.
      • Support efforts to keep all FOAA SOX documentation current and help drive timely completion of GRC controls.
      • Utilize knowledge of SOX controls and business processes to evaluate, redesign and simplify complex systems and business controls.
      • Manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
      - Bachelor's degree or equivalent
      - Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
      - 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
      - Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent- Experience in program or project management
