      Summary

      The Finance Systems Implementation Specialist supports the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of financial

      systems across Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. This role acts as a bridge between Finance , Procurement and IT to ensure systems are aligned with business processes, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. Key responsibilities include gathering user requirements, assisting with data migration and testing, supporting system go - lives,

      and providing post - implementation support and training.

      Essential Job Responsibilities

      System Implementation & Support:

      o Participate in planning, design, testing, and implementation of new or upgraded financial systems (e.g., ERP, general ledger, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable).

      o Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to translate finance needs into technical requirements.

      o Coordinate data mapping, migration, and validation during system conversions.

      Testing & Quality Assurance:

      o Develop test plans and conduct system testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance).

      o Identify and troubleshoot issues, document findings, and collaborate with developers and vendors to

      resolve problems.

      Training & Documentation:

      o Create training materials and user guides tailored to financial users.

      o Conduct training sessions and support user adoption across departments.

      Process Optimization:

      o Analyze existing financial workflows and identify opportunities for automation, compliance, and efficiency

      improvements.

      o Ensure systems comply with healthcare industry standards and audit requirements.

      Communicates with executive leadership to keep projects aligned with organizational goals.

      Customer Service Responsibilities

      Demonstrate excellent customer service and standards of behaviors as well as encourages, coaches, and monitors the

      same in team members. This individual should consistently promote teamwork and direct communication with co - workers

      and deal discretely and s ensitively with confidential information.

      Responsibilities in Quality Improvement

      Contribute by identifying problems and seeking solutions. Promote patient/family satisfaction where possible; participates

      in departmental efforts to monitor and report customer service.

      Essential Job Qualifications

      Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

      3+ years of experience in financial systems implementation or support.

      Strong knowledge of finance operations such as budgeting, GL, AP/AR, and payroll.

      Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Lawson, Oracle, SAP, or similar).

      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

      Strong analytical, problem - solving, and communication skills.

      Ability to multi - task and handle conflicting deadlines

      Strong customer service - related skills

      Preferred Job Qualifications

      Experience in a healthcare or hospital environment.

      Familiarity with Workday Financials or other healthcare - specific ERP systems.

      Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or Six Sigma credentials.

      Knowledge of data security and HIPAA compliance in finance systems.
