      Glimpse of the Job and Opportunity to Contribute

      As a part of the Division of Finance and Operations, Financial Management Operations provides accounting services in partnership stakeholders by providing quality services to track and monitor fiscal operations. Our goals are to assist in developing and maintaining quality account records and processes with various TAMU department and external customers. We’re hiring a Financial Accountant, who will be responsible for performing advanced professional accounting tasks at a university level within the Division of Finance.

      The outcomes include (but are not limited to):

      • Process daily reports

      • Handle Accounts Payable Help Line

      • Working with vendors to assist them with identifying proper payment applications

      • Process AggieBuy invoices while maintaining compliance with TAMU, TAMU System and state of Texas disbursement guidelines

      • Review encumbrance requests

      Salary Range: Commensurate with education and experience.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

      • Prefer accounting experience in a business office

      • Previous Texas A&M University experience is a plus

      Skills

      • Excellent oral and written communication, attention to detail, customer service and problem-solving skills.

      • Ability to comprehend, apply and enforce rules and regulations.

      • Working knowledge of spreadsheet programs and bookkeeping procedures
