- Determine financial aid eligibility on a student-by-student basis following standard operation procedures.
- Award funding to students based on standard operating procedures.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Federal, State and Institutional Policies governing Title IV student aid programs.
- Review the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS) to determine current student eligibility.
- Review the Common Originations and Disbursement System (COD) to determine current student eligibility.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Critical thinker.
- Ability to learn complex concepts quickly and apply those concepts to individual situations.
- Excellent math skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
- Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience in an educational setting, specifically Financial Aid or finance background.
The Financial Aid Certification Processor position is a full-time employment position reports to the Financial Services Manager. The Financial Services Processor analyzes students’ financial aid documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness and awards the appropriate funding to students.
