What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and evaluate FAFSA applications to resolve verifications and ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations
- Maintain knowledge of Federal Title IV regulations, state laws, and institutional policies related to financial aid
- Analyze documentation to assess unusual circumstances, making necessary adjustments to student aid packages
- Generate reports and evaluate complex data to verify student eligibility and notify students of any changes in their financial aid status
- Participate in training and perform additional job-related duties as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 4-year college degree
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in higher education, accounting, business, or customer service
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks with minimal oversight
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior financial aid experience and familiarity with PeopleSoft and/or Salesforce
- Ability to meet access requirements for secure federal and state websites, such as NSLDS
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment
