Job Description

- Administer assigned federal, state, and external financial aid programs effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal regulations and guidelines for assigned financial aid programs.
- Process application data for accurate awarding of federal and state funds.
- Assist with proper review and adjustments through continual Title IV processing.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with on-campus and off-campus stakeholders to maintain effective lines of communication regarding program needs and support.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to cultivate effective processes to support program operations and efficiency.
- Communicate with students and staff regarding documentation, deadlines, and aid status as necessary.
- Monitor funding allocations, ensuring proper utilization and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Maintain accurate student records, including disbursements, refunds, and over-awards.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including verifying student eligibility, monitoring allocations, and managing disbursements and refunds of assigned financial aid programs.
- Work with team to gather data for reports to leadership, university stakeholders, and federal, state, and external stakeholders.
- Provide backup support for all financial aid and scholarship programs to ensure continuity of operations.
- Other Duties as assigned.
- A bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience working with Federal Work Study
- Experience working with Colorado State fund sources
- Experience working with Scholarship programs.
- Experience using People Soft student information system (Campus Solutions).
- Experience using OnBase workflows

- Data Analysis and Reporting: Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and making data-driven recommendations for process improvement. Experience with relevant software tools and data management.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiently manage and utilize scholarship management software to optimize application processes and data management.
- Presentation Skills : Proficient in delivering compelling presentations and representing the institution at industry events.
- This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.
- The ability to sit for extended periods, stand and walk occasionally, reach with hands and arms, use hands to manipulate a keyboard and mouse, and have good near vision for computer work; often requiring minimal lifting, but may involve bending or reaching to retrieve items from shelves or drawers.

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships manages the awarding, distribution, reporting, and reconciling of over $280,000,000 in student financial aid for the University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus.
The Financial Aid Systems Processor is a vital member of the university's financial aid department, responsible for administering financial aid programs to support student success. Program examples include but are not limited to federal grant and direct loan programs, state grants, and private loans. This role also works with Financial Aid Program Coordinators to manage Return to Title IV calculations and reconciliation. This role involves knowledge of and compliance with federal and state regulations. The Processor also fosters positive relationships across the campus community and promotes the program to increase awareness and usage. This position will report to the Associate Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships. This position is eligible to be hybrid, based on the needs of the Financial Aid and Scholarship Department.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $50,553 - $53,000.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
