Job Description

- Ensure that all accounting entries are prepared accurately and in line with corporate deadlines
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliation on a monthly basis
- Assist billing teams on questions regarding contract rates, tasks changes, etc. to prepare invoices are in a timely manner
- Assist with cash application questions
- Assist with weekly Short Term Cash Flow Forecast to ensure focus on cash collection, optimization of DSO and minimization of unbilled items
- Establish routine reporting template and run BI reports regularly such as unbilled, AR, etc
- Calculation of billing and cost rates, and analysis of margins to manage profitability per project per customer
- Assist with frequent analysis and review of project transactions to ensure costs are timely captured and bill rates are setup correctly
- Assist with Burden costs analysis on a monthly basis
- Execution of various ad hoc financial analysis and tasks as and when required
- Liaising with external, internal and client auditors
- Prepare finance deliverables per client contract
- Linkage with project manager and contracts administrator regarding any contractual requirements
- Responsibility for compliance with Financial Management Framework within the individual’s sphere of control
- Further education through College or University with a recognised accounting qualification
- Preferably working towards CIMA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent
- 3 – 4 years accounting experience
- Proficient user of Excel
- Good systems experience (e.g. Oracle, Hyperion)
- Effectively connect and establish effective, cross-cultural working relationships with all levels of the organisation
- Exhibits energy and compassion
- Anticipate the environment, be forward thinking and able to see the ‘big picture’
- Very strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy via self-performed reviews and checks
Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is searching for a Financial Analyst to support the Downstream & Chemical business. The Financial Analyst will ensure all accounting entries within their area of control (i.e. project, contract, service line) are recorded in an accurate and timely manner. This involves the provision of timely reporting of financial data internally to business stakeholders and externally to the client. Furthermore, financial reporting will extend to detail analysis of project performance on a weekly or ad-hoc basis. While the preferred location for this position is either Houston, TX or Clute, TX; WFH will be considered for the ideal candidate.
