Job Description

- Candidate must live a commutable distance to Guaynabo, PR.
- Position will be a fully in office role, we cannot accommodate remote work from home.

- Ensures that invoice packets are prepared timely and accurately in compliance with contract terms and PRDOH regulations.
- Establishes, or recommends to management, major economic strategies, objectives, and policies for the CDBG-DR Program.
- Prepares reports which summarize and forecast program business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
- Establish and maintain an efficient, timely, and accuracy financial processing and reporting function.
- Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
- Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
- Assists with analyses showing results in comparison to budgets, historical performance, and identifying trends.
- Implements and ensures compliance with internal controls that protect corporate assets, monitor cash flow and report sources and requirements.
- Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
- Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
- Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.
- Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Assist and manage audit activity, as required, for all audits (compliance, government, financial, insurance, etc.).
- Works closely with Project Managers and Task Leads to monitor financial performance of contracts.
- Works closely with Project Managers and Task Leads to capture necessary information to prepare monthly program invoice and submit to the client.
- Monitors and analyzes Indirect Rates.
- Performs complex analysis of Job Cost/Revenue/Unbilled Revenue accounts.
- Performs Ad hoc projects and analysis as directed by Project Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to use analytical skills to interpret and evaluate information.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of program information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
- At least five (5) years of experience working as a Project Accountant or Financial Advisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
