This new hire will work at the Global Headquarters, located in Hunt Valley, MD. The Financial Analyst III, Americas FP&A will report to a Director Global FP&A COE.

      Position Overview

      The Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) analyst, with limited direction from manager, provides reporting and analysis to further leadership’s understanding of actual financial performance and support the annual planning processes (budget and long-term plan). This position provides divisional and global reporting, financial analyses, interpretations, and key metric reporting to management.

      Responsibilities

      • Accounting & Reporting – With limited direction, applies and understands McCormick & Company, Incorporated’s best practice financial reporting to meet the requirements of management, external authorities and the stakeholders of the Company.
      • Business/Operations – Analysis & Support – With limited direction, creates, analyzes and interprets financial statements, reports, and variances/trends in data and communicates to more senior levels in management.
      • Business Planning & Analysis – With limited direction, assembles, analyzes, and presents information as part of the business planning and analysis process. Uses critical thinking to draw upon professional experiences, market and industry knowledge, data, intuition, and then applies in decision making and direction setting. Effective in completing, analyzing, interpreting and communicating modeling exercises.

      Key Qualifications

      • Bachelors - Accounting or Finance
      • 1-2 years of experience in a financial analyst role, preferably within the rotational program. Knowledge and experience with any of the Finance functions. Experience working on cross functional teams. Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, US GAAP, and Financial Reporting
      • Able to successfully communicate
      • Strong proficiency in MS Excel Required.
      • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word and MS PowerPoint required.
      • The successful candidate will be very detail oriented, have strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, demonstrated grammatical and organizational skills and must be a self-starter, who is able to work independently.
      • Understands available reporting, drill down capabilities, and able to organize data in a way that adds value to analysis.
      • Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems, multi-task, deliver accurate financial deliverables, and work in cross functional teams.
