- Assist in the production of financial analyses (e.g., department, practice, office, timekeeper, client) using both established and new, creative approaches.
- Serve as FP&A liaison for creation of annual revenue budget and forecast, from establishing data to senior management presentations.
- Responsible for headcount and productivity data reporting along with various month end reports.
- Aid in the production and submission of market survey analysis.
- Analyze Firm performance against peer firms, understand the market trends to strategically introduce price increases, and develop models to anticipate client demand for our services.
- Develop an understanding of the Firm’s departments, practice groups and clients to help develop strategic planning initiatives.
- Contribute to the preparation of various presentations for executive leadership.
- Focus on fostering teamwork and collaboration to promote new ideas and introduce streamlined processes to meet deadlines and drive projects to completion.
- A minimum of 3‐years of relevant financial analysis experience.
- Sophisticated use of Excel (vertical lookups, macros, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint.
- Thorough understanding of reporting cubes and finance/ accounting concepts.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to identify and analyze multi‐faceted problems and recommend solutions.
- Capable of working collaboratively with a diverse group and building relationships within the organization.
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, an MBA is a plus.

The Financial Analyst will facilitate the extraction of information and the generation of detailed analytics to address complicated strategic issues in the increasingly complex and changing legal industry. The Analyst is expected to contribute across all aspects of the reporting spectrum, including report creation, development, quality assurance and delivery. A strong candidate will be highly analytical, extremely detail oriented, and have a proven track record of streamlining reporting processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position will require some physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a weekly basis. The anticipated compensation range for this position is $90,000-$115,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
