Perform assigned account reconciliations
Posting journal entries in both US GAAP and IFRS
Monthly portfolio financial performance analysis
Assist with Regulatory Reporting requests
Assist with internal and external audit requests
Analyze monthly results and interface with Finance and Business for additional insight on performance trends
Perform ad hoc requests as needed
High energy levels and be proactive in anticipating demands from business partners and identifying areas of opportunity for process improvements
Strong sense of teamwork and commitment to deliver high quality, timely results
Able to work independently via strong analytical and problem solving skills while also having the ability to build solid relationships with business partners
Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines on an ongoing basis
High degree of flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands of business partners
Create an environment that fosters innovation and automation
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Slides, Google Sheets
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, or Bachelors Degree in Economics, or Bachelors Degree in Finance, or Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, or Bachelors Degree in Statistics.
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or working towards one

A day in the life of a Capital One Financial Analyst.
The Canada Controller’s team is primarily responsible for the regulatory reporting, internal and external audit support, and actuals reporting of the Canada business at Capital One. The person in this role will work with finance and business managers across Capital One in Canada, US and UK to perform financial reporting and ongoing analysis of our existing portfolio and its performance, to inform and guide on accounting principles, and provide risk guidance to the Canada Finance team.
