      We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

      Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

      Job Summary

      This role will collaborate with stakeholders to prepare capital and operations & maintenance budgets/forecasts, analyze results and support strategic initiatives. This position will support Dominion Energy Contracted Energy.

      • Develops, communicates and leads financial analysis.
      • Performs assignments designed to develop work knowledge, skills and abilities requiring application of policies, procedures, techniques and other criteria in carrying out all aspects of the job.
      • Provides analysis and presentation preparation in support of investment decisions going before Investment Review Committee.
      • Supports review, update and communication of cost of capital utilized for business and investment decisions.
      • Assists in identification, screening and analysis of potential merger and acquisition opportunities.
      • Supports efforts to respond to requests for special studies on competitors, industry trends, etc.
      • Performs routine work assignments and over time will demonstrate the ability to perform more difficult work assignments.
      • Works under established policies and procedures to meet set schedules and system or program requirements.
      • Continues to develop the knowledge, skills and abilities to reach a higher level of proficiency and work complexity.
      • Performs other duties as requested or assigned.


      The position will be filled at the level(s) commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

      Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

      Financial Analyst: 3+ years related experience (A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year)
      Senior Financial Analyst: 5+ years related experience (A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year)

      Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:

      • Strong Excel and analytical skills are critical to success in this role.
      • Knowledge of financial management and analysis, utility and/or relevant industry, accounting standards and practices.
      • Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
      • Teaming and customer focus skills.
      • Working knowledge of Power Point.
      • Self-motivated proactive work style.
      • Aptitude for continuous learning.
      • Ability to create dashboarding solutions are helpful, but not required.

      Education Requirements

      Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.
