      Summary:

      Serves as a liaison between the organization and the patient's insurance company to facilitate and expedite financial clearance functions required for patient evaluation and treatment; creates and maintains records related to financial clearance. Serves as the liaison between admissions, authorizations, clinic staff, patient accounting and physician billing.

      Qualifications:

      Required Education and Experience

      1. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in authorization and follow-up procedures or related field; or
      2. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience Financial Clearance and/or Patient Access within the Financial Clearance Department at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

      NOTE:
      Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Associates Degree or higher
      • Any pharmacy experience
      • Any healthcare experience
      • Any billing/business service experience
      • Pharmacy Authorization Experience
