      Financial Control Analyst

      Singapore

      As a Barclays Financial Control Analyst, you will be a member of the Legal Entity Control which is Financial Reporting function located in Europe, Asia and in the North and South America. While this function reviews and finalises the entity financials, the main objective and role is to produce reports for the external regulators. Your core responsibilities include production of management reports for daily regulatory monitoring and production of local regulatory reporting.

      What will you be doing?

      • Accounting for the production of MAS/SingStat/ACRA regulatory reporting for Barclays Bank SG Branch/a branch of Barclays Bank PLC and Barclays Merchant Bank (Singapore)
      • Preparing and completing month end MI including analytics of Profit & Loss, balance sheet movements, Intercompany mismatches etc
      • Being responsible for quick analysis and response to ad-hoc queries both internally and from regulators
      • Working with the VP/AVP to develop and set up controlling tools ensuring data integrity and completeness for accurate and timely regulatory reporting submission
      • Preparing and submitting IRAS tax filings including indirect and direct tax and working in close consultation with the Tax team in Singapore
      • Supporting queries from regulators and external auditors
      • Being accountable for preparation of annual statutory accounts under Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)

      What we’re looking for:

      • Good control & financial reporting skills
      • Excellent financial accounting knowledge on banking products
      • University/Tertiary qualification

      Skills that will help you in the role:

      • Experience in regulatory reporting
      • Good working experience in investment bank or big 4 audit firms
