      What you'll do

      As a Financial Controller, you’ll ensure the integrity of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information, including balance sheet, profit and loss account, internal and external reporting and other supporting data. Working with global teams and locations, you’ll be helping to shape the strategy and operating model for finance transaction control, with the overriding objective of establishing and maintaining trust and confidence of customers and stakeholders.

      We’ll expect you to bring relevant commercial insight and lead a team to deliver a full set of high quality and accurate product level finance data to support the wider financial, statutory, regulatory and management reporting requirements and external audit within agreed timelines.

      Through the course of your work, you’ll:

      • Lead and ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of the business’s controls
      • Shape the strategy and operating model for business unit reporting within Finance Transaction Control to ensure the confidence of our customers
      • Lead a global team to deliver accurate financial reporting data
      • Act as a member of the Finance Transaction Control Leadership team, challenging how we do things and leading change to support the Global Process Owner model
      • Act as the key customer relationship manager between the business area and other team
      • Provide leadership on continuous improvement projects as well as mandatory and discretionary projects to automate and streamline financial transaction control activities

      The skills you'll need

      To succeed in this role, you’ll bring extensive post-qualification experience in a finance environment, preferably the financial services industry or medium to large corporates. You’ll have experience of working at a senior management level, with multiple reporting lines across a global matrix environment. We’ll also look for the ability to facilitate optimal use of key finance technologies such as Oracle.

      We’ll look to you to bring:

      • Experience of providing senior management and executives with detailed financial information
      • The ability to identify, build and enhance key relationships and challenge as needed
      • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
      • The ability to deliver high quality outputs to tight deadlines
