As our Financial Controller, you will have an integral part in ensuring we stay on top of the market and continue to enrich and simplify the consumers’ lives.

Samsung continues to grow and is now looking for a Financial Controller for our Accounting Team. In this role, you will be part of a team of 6 sitting in our Kista office. Four Financial Accountants, another financial controller, and you. All reporting to the Accounting Manager, Patrik Carlsson.

Role and Responsibilities

One part of the role is the day-to-day work where you will manage monthly forecast, target, and yearly management plan for general expenses and investments. Be involved in daily control and approval of general expenses. As well as making sure the cost center master file is maintained, and supporting others in the organization

Another part of the role is being involved and working on projects. For example, developing and managing guidelines, internal control policies, and processes within Finance. As well as supporting commercial projects.

The key accountabilities for the role are:

• Develop business processes and accounting policies
• Management of preventing financial risks
• Manage finance approvals of general expense
• Coordinate and control Shared Service Center
• Manage data accuracy in books
• Manage investment plans
• Preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
• Prepare and distribute deviation analysis to management.
• Manage and coordinate with other departments’ long-term financial planning
• Perform budgeting process of general expense and investment
• Controls of the budget and analysis of expense results
• Compare anticipated and actual results and identify areas of improvement
• Review accounting transactions for data accuracy
• Deviation analysis

Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced financial controller who has a good understanding of accounting and tax rules in the Nordics. Collaboration is an essential part of how we work at Samsung, you need to be a team player. Apart from the analytical skills and meticulous way of working necessary for the task, we are looking for someone who has good communication, project, and process skills.

For this role we expect you to have:

• At least 3 years experience in finance
• An academic degree in a relevant field (finance, business administration, etc.)
• Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with advanced Excel spreadsheet preparation skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English

It is also a bonus if you have:

• Experience with utilizing SAP Software
• Experience from a large company
