      You’ll play an important part in the oversight, implementation, and delivery of the FC Assurance agenda in collaboration with the wider function and relevant business areas.

      The difference you’ll make:

      • Leading assurance reviews as part of the wider assurance plan and providing timely assurance advice
      • Developing and agreeing the scope and delivering against agreed milestones
      • Collaborating with colleagues to assess whether FC Risks are adequately identified, assessed and managed
      • Ensuring opinions are underpinned by facts, evidence and assessment of materiality aligned with Santander UK’s Risk Appetite, Policies & Standards
      • Identifying issues or improvements and advising Senior Management through high quality, impactful reports
      • Overseeing the execution of Management actions to address assurance findings, validating their effectiveness

      What you’ll bring:

      • Proven experience in an Assurance, Compliance Monitoring or Internal Audit role providing assurance over financial crime risk management within a banking environment
      • Experience leading reviews as part of the wider financial crime plan, providing timely assurance opinions including over the Financial Crime Risk Management Systems and Controls, both at a framework and individual control level

      It would also be nice for you to have:

      • Advanced project and time management skills with the ability to work independently or lead others
      • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate confidently and influence stakeholders
      • Expert written and oral communication skills with the ability to articulate finding and business trends
      • A recognised Financial Crime, Compliance or Internal Audit qualification

      This role is based in Glasgow and our current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week.

      • Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus
      • We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
      • 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year
