Financial Management Analyst- DoD FM Certification
Location: Remote
Division: Redhawk
Contract: Financial Operations Division
Position Summary
The Financial Management Analyst provides support to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Financial Operations Division (FOD) civilian personnel. Specifically:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•Ensure timely and accurate processing of DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification applications, forms, and program activities in accordance to the DoD FM certification policies and procedures•Provide accurate, timely, and thorough assistance throughout the certification process to stakeholders across the Agency
•Monitor, track, and report the compliance for on-going DoD FM certifications across the Agency workforce
•Evaluate applications and certification status change requests while providing superior customer service in each individual case
•Support ongoing improvement of computer skills, database management, knowledge of certification standards, and policies
•Prioritize numerous functions and evaluate and interpret data from various sources
•Process and evaluate certification applications and documentation to determine eligibility in accordance with current certification standards and policies
•Ensure data integrity, document management and control, and consistent processing and business rule application to all certification records in certification management system
•Utilize Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to develop, update and refine communication and disseminate to DHA stakeholders
•Update existing documentation to align with pre-approved DHA style guides, templates and color schemes
•Consistently touch base with J8 Leadership to ask if they need assistance with producing, or responding to communication
•Create, review, and brief programmatic, operational and financial reports on a reoccurring basis
•Support data collection activities, gathering business intelligence and apply logic and analysis to support sound decision making
•Support ad-hoc financial operations division requests as needed
•Ability to do client travel as needed
Education & Experience Requirements
EDUCATION:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Technical Writing, Financial Analysis, Accounting, Business or other related/allied discipline, or other relevant experience
EXPERIENCE:•General knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
•Strong Microsoft Outlook skills and experience
•Strong technical writing skills and ability to update, review and recommend changes to government leadership
•3-year minimum experience in DoD administrative assistance
•Knowledge of commonly used DoD and Federal written communications
•Strong communication skills, both written and oral
•U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to complete and pass a National Agency clearance investigation (NACI) background check for system access and credentials.
