  Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experiece equivalent to the GS-7 level in the federal service OR master's or equivalent graduate degree

  2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
  

  or
  
  LL.B. or J.D., if related
  
  or
  

  A combination of experience and education.
  
  Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

  The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
