      Urology in EMEA is a $250m business recognised complex in number of call points. It strives for category leadership in all its market segments and is delivering double digit growth and up to 2 times the market growth rate accelerated thanks to Lithovue, Rezum and SpaceOAR technologies and recently with Lumenis Laser platform.


      Central Western Cluster regroups Germany, Austria, Netherlands and Switzerland and contributes for ~20% of the EMEA Urology Revenue and counts ~50 employees.


      The Cluster FP&A manager plays a critical Finance business partner role to support the Cluster leadership team in developing & executing the divisional strategy to sustain its leadership position in Stone Management and continue its journey to category leadership in Prostate Health. Urology Division drives strong growth through its portfolio expansion, focus on Patient Healthcare and business strategy to be the partner of choice while developing and sustaining a high-performance team.


      Purpose Statement
      Act as primary business partner in Planning, Management Reporting & Financial Analysis to the Cluster Divisional Leadership and Urology Finance Director.


      Key Responsibilities

      • Act as primary business partner to the Cluster Leadership team & Divisional Finance Director for all Financial Planning and Analysis activities within the Cluster: Advise in setting appropriately challenging objectives for Regional/Country performance; Accompany the Cluster Leader to all Country Business Reviews and Plan Reviews to provide key financial support, Participate in the Regional Quarterly Business Review; Co-ordinate the annual budgeting & quarterly planning process; Advise the Cluster Leader, Country management and regional FP&A teams in resource allocation decisions so as to optimize the Country's performance; Setting appropriate financial targets; Linking strategies and tactics to financial objectives.
      • Manage the P&L of the Central Western Cluster: propose action and recovery plans in case of sales shortfall. Drive productivity initiatives to improve the profitability of the Business Unit.
      • Responsible for leading compliance with quarterly budgeting calendar & guidelines, monthly & quarterly business reviews and quarterly plan reviews: Monitor and measure business performance to ensure maximization of opportunities to meet or exceed targets whilst managing effectively the P&L; reviewing the quarterly commission calculations and presenting to Management for approval; Modelling business cases for investment or analysing resource/territory allocation and distribution within the region; Provide guidance/advice to ensure performance targets are achieved.
      • Collaborate with the Finance Operations team to get adequate support on some of the more standardized FP&A activities.
      • Assist regional FP&A in the execution of region wide or Corporate wide FP&A related initiatives. Represent the Region in various regional and Corporate task forces, as required: Required to be the Lead instructor on all Financial System training.
      • Support/provide input to Country Controller and regional FP&A team with regards to the development requirements of the Country FP&A resources. Provide functional leadership and mentoring to the FP&A resources across the region.
      • Establish, maintain and/or leverage as appropriate information systems to support the FP&A process. Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity and analysis, increase efficiencies, manage costs and maintain state of the art practices.
      • Provides input to the Quality committee in finance specific local issues, with the purpose of wither finding a solution form other countries' experiences or providing advice on potential barriers for other countries and local regulations. Drives compliance in all finance related matters (CA&C, SOX, Statutory, monthly Closing). Participates in implementing Quality requirements in all aspects of the Finance Process.

      FP&A Functional Competencies:

      • Planning: personal organization and time management, ability to manage a complete planning process with multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment, forecasting
      • Analytical skills: Ability to see both the big picture and the details – Good interpreter of data – Forward looking analysis
      • Finance System Excellence: Leverage technology and systems in delivering solutions for the business - Optimize tools to gain process efficiency
      • Fluent in English - German Speaker is a plus

      Business Partnership Competencies:

      • Business partnering: Customer focus - Consistently identifies current and future customer needs and ensures the effective delivery of high quality and value-added solutions, products and services
      • Decision support: Ability to connect various information (market, product, organization, financials...) to support but also influence business decisions

      Other Competencies:

      • Experience: Minimun 5 years of experience in a financial role, ideally in an international matrix company
      • Communication: Communicates effectively in large and small groups. Openly shares knowledge and expertise. Listens actively and encourages the open expression of ideas and opinions – Ability to tell a story, adapt finance language to the audience
      • Collaboration: Ability to build effective working relations in a very matrix environment
      • Execution: Drives results by assigning clear authority and accountability, integrating and aligning efforts, and monitoring progress; both within area of responsibility as well as across the enterprise.
