What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in the annual budget development process, including preplanning and collaborating with functional areas
- Monitor and report on budget performance, including posting journal entries and researching variances
- Maintain and update the Activity Based Costing Model to ensure alignment with the corporate structure
- Support the product performance reporting function, preparing monthly product P&L reports
- Perform additional finance-related tasks as assigned, including accounts payable review and year-end close support
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent related experience
- Minimum of 2 years of audit, cost accounting, and/or budget-related experience, preferably in the financial services/insurance industry
- Strong working knowledge of Activity Based Costing (ABC) and budgeting concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of taking the CPA Exam
- Familiarity with SAS Financial Management and SAS Cost and Profitability Management Software
- Experience with budget development and reporting
- Knowledge of SAS Visual Analytics or similar applications
