Job Description
- Req#: FINAN001283
- Contributor to the monthly, quarterly, and annual Financial Reporting process. This includes but is not limited to:
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly journal entries and analysis
- Preparation of quarterly and annual external financial statements and related note disclosures
- Preparation of quarterly MD&A and related support
- Liaising with ARC’s external auditors
- Support other projects and initiatives as required such as:
- Peer benchmarking of external reporting-related disclosure
- User acceptance testing of Financial Reporting systems changes
- CPA designation with a minimum of one year post-designation experience, preferably in the crude oil and natural gas industry
- Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and public company financial reporting
- Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to work well both independently and with individuals in all departments of the organization
- Excellent analytical skills, problem solving and decision-making capability
- Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, experience with SAP considered an asset.

To further enhance our focus on providing a valuable partnership with the business, we are currently seeking an energetic and dynamic individual to fill a permanent position as a Financial Reporting Analyst in our External Financial Reporting team. This position will report directly to the Supervisor, External Financial Reporting and will support the delivery of all aspects related to accounting systems and special projects as necessary.
The Financial Reporting Analyst will work directly with individuals across the entire organization, as well as within the accounting department. The successful candidate will possess superior communication skills, an ability to handle multiple priorities, strong attention to detail, and take pride in delivering high quality results.
