  By using a complex series of Excel workbooks and extensive knowledge of advanced formulas in Excel, the Financial Reporting Analyst supports the finance department and operating departments in all budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs while also performing ad hoc analysis in all areas of property operations.

  This position is not a remote opportunity. Work location is on property and located in the accounting department.

  MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Using advanced excel formulas, including, but not limited to v and h look-ups, index match, conditional formatting, and pivot tables, maintain a complex linked Excel system of files to compile, manage, and oversee the daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports across all departments on property.
  • Obtain data from multiple financial and operational systems for routine input and creation of reports for distribution to all levels of management
  • Assists with completion of other ad-hoc reports, ensuring all are completed accurately and on-time.
  • Collaborates with all property operating managers to understand and create solutions for their business operations and their analytical needs, including evaluating the financial implications of business decisions
  • Assist in the compilation, review, and presentation of the company's annual operating and capital budgets and monthly reforecasting process
  • Analyze complex financial information, including operating results, budgets and variances and ability to summarize in periodic management reports
  • Develop and/or implement analytical tools and systems
  • Performs other job-related duties as requested.

  SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE EXCEPTIONAL PROFICIENCY IN EXCEL, INCLUDING PRACTICAL KNOWLDGE OF ADVANCED FUNCTIONS SUCH AS PIVOT TABLES, FILTERS, V AND H LOOK-UPS, INDEX MATCH, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY LINKING OF EXCEL FILES.
  • Requires high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Familiarity with general ledger program software and month end accounting close process
  • Proficient with basic financial and analytical concepts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
  • Experience working with all levels of management, including executives, and consulting with key business stakeholders.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Three (3) years of analyst experience
  • Experience in hospitality and/or gaming operations preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming registration
  • Must possess a valid Nevada Gaming registration
  • Must be 21 years of age
