      Job Summary:

      Financial Specialists are Retail team members who work in a Financial Center to assist members in face-to-face
      interactions and provide an exceptionalmember service experience. As needed, they may also be requested to provide
      supplementary phone support.

      Major Responsibilities:

      Conducts proactive member interview and consultation services to analyze individual member financial needs.
      Uses open-ended questions to uncover member expressed and unexpressed needs while building rapport.
      • Provides advice, planning, guidance, and recommendations to pair member needs with Firstmark accounts,
      products, service solutions, or business partners. Acts upon identified opportunities by closing recommended
      accounts, solutions, services, or business.
      • Possesses or develops fundamental understanding and financial literacy to provide guidance regarding
      budgeting, debt management, and wealth management.
      • Processes member transaction requests in an accurate, timely, and risk-aware manner; including establishing
      membership, conducting deposits and withdrawals, and initiating transfers and payments.
      • Maintains current and accurate knowledge of Firstmark Credit Union products, processes, and procedures.
      Including mandatory annual compliance and review of Federal Regulation requirements, Risk/BSA, and ongoing
      cybersecurity training. Refers regularly to e-mail, intranet, and other sources of communication of emergent risk
      scenarios.
      • Issuance, reissue, maintenance, and troubleshooting of member electronic access devices, i.e.: debit and credit
      cards.
      • Thorough, accurate, and timely loan and membership application processing. To include loan origination,
      processing, funding, as well as post-funding maintenance, and support.
      • Ensures authentication, preventative actions, risk review, and submission of member wire transfer requests and
      other risk related transactions.
      • Facilitates consignment purchases and Safe Deposit Rental and maintenance where applicable.
      • Provides additional member services, automatic payment setup and maintenance, notary service requests, fraud
      research and resolution of issues in a timely fashion with a high level of communication and follow-up.
      • Participates in various community events and outbound business development activities.
      • Performs other job-related duties as needed.

      Job Requirements nd Qualifications:

      • Highschool diploma or equivalent required
      • 1 -2 years financial institution experience or retail sales/customer service experience preferred
      • Conducts themselves in all actions, judgment, and behavior according to Firstmark’s High Five Shared Values
      • Able to conduct open-ended interviews and recognize opportunities to provide FMCU solutions
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Approachable, warm, and friendly with members and coworkers

      • Able to build relationships
      • Able to analyze member financial situations and provide beneficial recommendations
