      The FPMI team is a partner to our business, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration (both within and external to finance) on the management of financial processes that are impacted by systems that generate financial data and transactions. This team is solid in evaluating financial processes from the perspective of risk management (including business continuity), data efficiency, and model optimization; and is there to support continuous improvement and change management as data tools and systems evolve and modernize.

      Your responsibilities:

      • Consult with internal clients to identify and support the optimization and modernization of the data and analysis required for financial processes, transactions, and reporting. Provide feedback on the evaluation, assessment, prioritization, and delivery of optimization opportunities.

      • Support the design, development, maintenance and continuous improvement of integrated financial systems, processes, and risks.

      • Support financial processes by carrying out optimization and compliance functions, risk assessments, and small application development and maintenance.

      • Maintain close relationships with IT professionals, colleagues, and key stakeholders on issues relevant to financial systems, processes, and risks. Support and resolve issues reported to the Financial Process and Modelling Innovation team.

      • Provides change management and training for clients within Finance and throughout the WCB who are affected by financial optimization or risk mitigation initiatives.

      • Participates in long- and short-term financial system planning, providing evaluations and analysis of existing processes and risks.

      Your experience and skills:

      • University degree or diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent, with a focus on Management Information Systems. A professional accounting designation (CPA) is considered an asset.

      • At least 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience working with complex financial systems and data.

      • Experience with automated solutions to enhance financial budgeting, forecasting, and reporting would be an asset.

      • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, plan and organize required tasks to meet deadlines.

      • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical staff.

      • Ability to learn quickly when faced with problems and ambiguity.

      • Strong conceptual and analytical skills and creativity in identifying solutions, with proven decision-making ability.

      • Experience with System techniques/tools including but not limited to, data/statistical analysis (Power Query, Power BI), Visual Basic (Excel Macros), Structured Query Language (SQL), version control software and process visualization software.

      • Experience with PeopleSoft, Lotus Notes, Cognos Metrics Manager, and or Data Warehouse would be an asset.

      Salary: $80,762 to $99,226.00 per annum (Salary Grade 11 with market supplement)
