- Assure quality of all production through proper training and monitoring of employee work methods.
- Meet shipping schedules.
- Work with the production of sample runs and general production problem solving.
- Establish manpower requirements to maximize production/cost ratios.
- Set goals for group leaders and department personnel.
- Conduct employee performance appraisals and salary reviews.
- Find methods to improve productivity while either maintaining or enhancing product quality.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Assist in the documentation of employee records for wages, attendance, performance, etc.
- Help keep production running during maintenance problems.
- Assist in the development of written manufacturing specifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Two years production-related experience
- Experience in finish operations (preferred)
