      Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Be More Than You Can Imagine .

      This position will function as the Chief of Fire Protection at
      Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company – Air
      Force Plant 4, Fort Worth TX.

      Responsibilities will include:

      - Oversee Fire Protection operations, to
      include training and fire prevention, in
      accordance with DODI 6055.6, DoDI 6055.6-M,
      AFI 32-2001, NAS 3306, DCMA Instruction
      8210.1, USAF Instruction 32-2001 and
      Supplements, all applicable National Fire
      Protection Association standards (NFPA) and
      AFCESA NFPA Technical Implementation Guides.

      - Plan fire and rescue operations to ensure
      adequate and effective response. Ensure
      structural and airfield support is provided under
      the memorandums of agreement with Naval Air
      Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, and the
      Texas Intrastate Mutual Aid System (TIMAS).

      - Direct firefighting operations during
      emergencies, exercises, and major evaluations.
      Serve as the on-scene commander of a
      fire/crash scene on large-scale incidents.

      - Prepare written operating instructions, fire reports, briefings, and general correspondence for distribution within and outside the department.

      - Ensure Fire Protection meets or exceeds all requirements or standards contractually mandated by U.S. and international customers.

      - Responsible for the 911 Emergency
      Dispatch Center, 59 Fire Protection employees
      and manages the Fire Protection operating
      budget.

      The selected candidate must be able obtain a secret clearance.

      The ideal candidate:

      • Must be able to pass annual NFPA 1582
      physical

      • Experience working under a collective
      bargaining agreement

      • Ability to assess overall departmental
      effectiveness in carrying out its mission

      •Ability to maintain records and prepare reports

      •Possess strong computer skills e.g. MS Word,
      MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook

      •Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate,
      assign and evaluate the work of subordinate
      employees

      •Thorough knowledge of safety standards and
      precautions

      •Extensive knowledge of fire suppression and
      first responder methods, practices and
      techniques

      •Thorough knowledge of fire codes and
      regulations

      •Effectively uses and implements managerial
      practices and methods

      Basic Qualifications :
      The following DoD / International Fire
      Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) /
      ProBoard Certifications are required:
      - Fire Officer II (Fire Officer III within 6 months of hire)
      - Fire Instructor II
      - Hazardous Materials Incident Commander
      - Airport Firefighter Desired skills :
      •Extensive knowledge of fire and emergency
      response equipment, operation and maintenance

      •Prefer fifteen plus years of progressively
      responsible administrative and supervisory
      experience in fire prevention, and emergency
      response work within a fire department,
      including at least five years in Fire/EMS
      operational management

      •Prefer the following DoD / International Fire
      Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) /
      ProBoard Certifications:
      - Fire Officer IV

      • Ability to assess, define and conduct training of
      subordinate personnel

      • Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate
      personnel in a large organization

      • Knowledge and insight on the accreditation
      process through the Congress for Fire
      Accreditation International (CFAI)
      . Knowledge of DoD and AF Fire Emergency
      Services Program
      .Knowledge of Fire Department Facility Design
