Job Description

- Respond to fire alarms, small exterior fires, and Guest assistance as assigned
- Conduct fire prevention inspections at Resort buildings, facilities, and attractions
- Perform fire watch standbys during hot work operations such as welding, soldering and torch work and for Pyrotechnic shows and performances
- Perform testing of various fire protection systems including alarm systems, sprinkler systems, fire doors, and restaurant hood systems
- Perform inspections and servicing of all Resort portable fire extinguishers
- Perform routine maintenance and inspection of fire fighting apparatus and equipment and by operating fire protection water control valves
- Perform fire hydrant inspection and testing
- Assist Guests during attraction evacuations
- Perform standbys for Cast Member confined space entry and conduct annual inspections of all identified confined spaces in the Resort
- Participate in training activity as assigned
- Provide excellent Guest Service
- Calmly handle difficult situations
- You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
- Graduate from Firefighter Academy
- Ability to respond to exterior and incipient fire emergencies (Not in IDLH)
- Possess a current California Driver License
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays. Shift times may range from morning to graveyard.
- Availability to work a minimum of 2 shifts (at least 16 hours) each week. Additional hours may be available depending on the needs of the business.
- Availability to attend all on-the-job training sessions (up to 80 hours within the first 2 weeks of employment)
- Willingness to follow all Disney Look guidelines
- Completion of Fire Science / Technology Course work
- Intro to Fire Science - or equivalent
- Intro to Fire Prevention - or equivalent
- Any additional course work as applicable
- Previous Disneyland Fire Department Cast Member
Job Description
The Disneyland Resort Fire Department has exciting part-time opportunities for fire academy graduates and/or experienced firefighters who are available to work a flexible schedule. The primary responsibility of the role is fire prevention in nature.

The pay rate for this role in California is $33.65 per hour.

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
