      Job Title: Firmware Engineer

      Job Description

      The primary objective of the Firmware Engineer role is to apply knowledge of embedded systems and wireless communications to create, test, and maintain radio firmware for hearing aid and accessory products. The role requires regular engagement with other product development teams to deliver high-quality and timely hearing products to the market. As a Firmware Engineer II, you will work under general supervision, developing and communicating solutions to routine technical problems of ample scope. You will contribute to the completion of detailed technical tasks and assist in the completion of specific programs and projects.

      Responsibilities

      • Learn and implement firmware on wireless radio ICs.
      • Understand and participate in establishing requirements, ensuring alignment with system-level needs.
      • Collaborate with others to define and improve system-level requirements for hearing aid firmware.
      • Ensure firmware design alignment through continuous exploration and discussions with team members.

      Essential Skills

      • Experience with firmware development and verification.
      • Proficiency in Embedded C, Python, C/C++.
      • Strong understanding of wireless communication, including Bluetooth and RF technologies.
      • Experience with software development, RTOS, and embedded systems.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • 2-5 years of real-world experience in wireless firmware development.
      • Ability to write automation scripts using Python.
      • Experience with wireless technologies, including Bluetooth and Wifi.
      • Medical device industry experience is a plus.

      Work Environment

      This role is situated within an engineering environment focused on high technology. The work primarily involves the development of Bluetooth firmware for radios, with responsibilities extending to debugging and collaboration with testing teams. The position requires an in-depth understanding of Bluetooth technologies and the ability to resolve issues effectively. The ideal candidate will be able to articulate their experience and show genuine interest in the field.

      This is a Permanent position based out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
