- Design advanced automated test suites for the Hardware/Processor/Software-in-the-loop (HIL/PIL/SIL)
- Architect methods of integrating the automated test suites into development processes
- Create reporting mechanisms for automated testing for firmware and hardware
- Work alongside the development and integration teams to create automated regression tests
- Assist in creating unit tests
- Explore and innovate methods of testing the robustness and quality of the charging firmware
- Understand and deconstruct complicated software systems and devise strategies to test these systems
- Create and execute test plans designed to expose weakness or faults in components
- Report the coverage of the automated tests and the metrics that the code is being evaluated against
- Cohesively work with developers to optimize the acceleration of component validation with the use of metric driven data
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or the equivalent in experience with evidence of exceptional ability
- Proficiency in Python, C, C++
- 2+ years of relevant experience in embedded design/validation
- Expertise testing devices and debugging hardware (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, DMM)
- Desire to participate in improving code robustness and designing testing infrastructure
- Experience in electronic and systems schematic design & capture (Altium Designer) preferred
- Experience with Docker preferred
- Experience designing or interfacing with test setups preferred
- Knowledge of source control (Git) and continuous integration (Jenkins) preferred
- Knowledge of EVSE, EVs preferred

What to Expect: The Supercharger Team is responsible for Tesla's public fast charging products. As an engineer on this team, you will be responsible for testing our EV charger features to ensure the quality and safety of the charging experience for both Tesla owners and third-party EVs. You will architect, design, and implement firmware validation procedures, equipment, tooling, and automation to efficiently test charging components and subsystems. You will work closely with development and integration teams to explore and validate the performance capabilities of our hardware and firmware to ensure code quality is high. Your effort to create and equip automated validation infrastructures and coverage reporting will have a direct impact on the reliability, robustness, and value of our products. Your impact will help the world's acceleration to energy sustainability.

Expected Compensation:
$133,440 - $200,160/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
