      Who We Are

      Firmware Integration and validation (FIV) group within DEG/FST (Foundational Software Technology) is seeking a senior Software / Firmware Engineering Manager to support the next generation firmware validation and tools for client Silicon Firmware (A.K.A star code) product lines.

      Who You Are

      The job will pose no shortage of opportunities, challenges, learning experiences and visibility. In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

      • Manage a global firmware validation and integration team and jointly work with other partner teams in Asia and EU to deliver quality Silicon Firmware bundle thru seamless test development and execution for current and next gen client products code named PTL/NVL and later generations.
      • Lead, train, mentor, grow, and retain QA talents in team.
      • Program-manage partner teams especially Si design / validation (Emulation, MCP, PSS, iVE, etc), Si FW ingredient teams such as pCode, and client BKC/PV team to ensure the whole quality chain to make synchronized move.
      • Connect and influence key stakeholders / forums especially Si Mission Control, platform PSXT and PVST to from best decision for firmware quality and product delivery.
      • Work closely with the FST leadership and management teams to drive quality through design and implementation
      • Drive product spec reviews, design, planning scheduling, and other product development process
      • Work closely with management and FW development teams to ensure appropriate quality metrics and goals are defined and tracked throughout the project lifecycle.
      • Drive quality criteria for release.

      Qualifications:

      You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      Possess Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field with 9+ years' of relevant experience or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field with 6+ years' of relevant experience OR PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field with 5+ years' of relevant experience

      • Strong background in Software QA / validation area.
      • Experience as a Manager with proven track record of shipping high quality, scalable Software / Firmware.
      • Strong knowledge of software development and validation, demonstrated leadership in designing / managing matrixed organizations, and ability to work effectively both within team and to resolve issues and ship under tight schedules.
      • Prior product development and in-depth working knowledge of C/Java/Python with good engineering skills.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience with Pre-Silicon Design/Validation processes.
      • Experience with Simulation/Emulation.

      Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

      US, California:$177,239.00-$283,471.00

      S al ary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

      Work Model for this Role

      This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
