- Support Program Management Lead in their larger book of work oversight
- Own day to day management of entire project or specified workstream as part of larger programs
- Partner with Business and Technology Leads to plan major milestones with understanding of stakeholder needs
- Identify risks and issues to be escalated and partner with workstream Leads to assess options for resolution
- Continuously review value proposition and validate painpoints to track to measures of success
- Oversee status reporting to own executive summaries or coordination of regular scorecard updates
- Contribute to senior governance forum meetings with agenda preparation and materials
- Create artifacts to simplify complex aspects of project and assist in “story telling”
- Collaborate with other Project Managers in the organization, or workstream Leads, to promote information exchange and contribute to larger initiatives
- Seek opportunities to improve processes for efficiency and best practices, making recommendations to Program Management Lead and helping execute on changes
- 3-5 years’ experience in a large scale financial services are consulting firm
- Experience in change management with proven success in executing on multiple projects / initiatives at once
- A team player who is motivated to contribute to the program book of work and motivate others to prioritize projects
- Proven experience working autonomously and delivering high quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude while acting with integrity and dependability
- Ability to work effectively in a large matrixed organization within financial services or another regulated industry
- Ability to support a cross-functional project team with varied disciplines and stakeholders at varied levels of seniority
- Critical Competencies / Soft Skills:
- Oral communication - confidence engaging with key stakeholders in person and over zoom
- Written communication - experience writing clear, concise emails and compiling project materials with key messages or status updates
- Project management - familiarity with project or program management best practices, organization and time management
- Relationship building - ability to assimilate in organization and proactively form working relationships with key stakeholders across varying levels of seniority
- Results orientation - desire to work independently and be intellectually curious in order to contribute to project deliverables and assist in problem solving
- Preferred Technical Skills:
- PowerPoint - familiar with PitchPro+, experience creating 1-page executive summaries and aggregating presentations with agendas and materials that flow
- MS Teams - for regular communication and collaboration on project workstreams
- Confluence - familiar with Confluence for navigating key artifacts on sites maintained by key stakeholders such as Technology and Corp Consumers (note move to MS Teams)
- JIRA: will not own JIRA but will liaise with Product Owners and Technology to work in agile fashion
As a direct report to the Lead Program Manager, this individual will be helping coordinate change initiatives across key pillars of the Finance & Risk organization to contribute to Business optimization and Technology modernization goals
Project book of work includes change initiatives relating to Finance, Data, Risk, and Controls, where scope is cross-consumer or cross-asset class and there are significant interdependencies between Business and Technology teams (examples include moving fit for purpose data to the public cloud for key functional groups’ consumption)
