      Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a First Grade Teacher at Bear Creek Elementary School beginning with the 2025-2026 school year . Must have, or be eligible to receive, a current Colorado license with appropriate endorsement along with the CDE READ Act requirements. Must have a solid foundation in literacy and a genuine understanding of the developmental needs of early elementary students. Preference for experience with Everyday Math curriculum. Looking for a teammate with strength in collaboration and communication. In order to receive consideration, you must complete our online application. Applications will be reviewed as recieved. This position will remain open until filled. The first day for teachers new to our district is August 1, 2025.

      Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 16 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 17, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,550-$73,848 . The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website.       *This position is eligible for a $2,000 bonus- $1000 to be paid in September and $1000 paid in March 2026 paycheck.

      Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
