- Employee housing (dormitory-style) and on-site employee meals (cafeteria-style). Room & Board costs equal to $17.00/day and are deducted bi-weekly (approximately $234.00) from your paycheck

- Approximately 500 geysers (the largest concentration in the world) and hot springs, including Grand Prismatic, the third largest in the world
- Conducts scheduled trips in a safe and lawful manner in accordance with Company and National Park Service (NPS) policies
- Responsible for the safety of passengers and crew
- Instructs guests in safety, life-saving emergency procedures and basic boating safety
- Maintains radio contact with shore stations at all stages of operation
- Regulates passenger loads, acts as host, and maintains order aboard vessel
- Advises guests regarding fishing regulations
- Instructs guests in fishing techniques and usage of equipment
- Must provide fishing equipment to simultaneously outfit a minimum of three guests
- Provides accurate information to guests covering Yellowstone’s natural history, human history, geography, geology, etc
- Answers guest questions concerning Yellowstone National Park
- Works in an environmentally conscious manner
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with coworkers, National Park Service, and management
- Maintains cleanliness of boat and reports malfunctions to management
- Fuels the boat and secures it when it is unattended
- Completes required paperwork
- Assists in the Scenic Cruise operations as assigned
- Assists in the rental boat operation as assigned
- Must provide appropriate clothing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Assists in all other marina operations and performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company boat
- Must possess a valid driver's license with no high-risk violations in the past 3 years and pass a DOT physical exam
- Must be able to provide a reliable form of transportation to and from work (3-5 miles from dorms to the Bridge Bay Marina)
- Must pass written and practical seamanship examinations
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of assigned equipment
- Knowledge of safety, emergency, and life-saving procedures
- Knowledge of National Park Service boating and fishing regulations
- Knowledge of weather patterns
- Knowledge of rules and procedures for use of marine band radio
- Public speaking and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of park geography, geology, and history focusing on the Lake area
- Must be able to instruct guests in fishing techniques to ensure the maximum possibility of success
- Knowledgeable of how to clean and/or fillet fish
- Must be able to tie a proper Bowline and Cleat Hitch (Halyard) knot
- Training provided for current CPR and 1st Aid certification
- Must be capable of lifting objects of up to 50 pounds
- Must be capable of bending, lifting, and standing throughout a 10+ hour shift
- Must have full function and usage of both hands
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (sun, rain, snow, etc.) for extended periods of time and provide proper attire for such weather conditions
- Must be able to work at elevations in excess of 7700 feet
- Must possess a current DOT Physical

Job Summary:
The Bridge Bay Marina provides services to guests so they can enjoy Yellowstone Lake, the largest high alpine lake in North America. Our Fishing Guides will charter guests around the Lake while providing interpretive commentary about the park and teaching our guests how to catch various fish. The most important responsibility of Marina staff is to make sure that all guests comply with safety and legal requirements for being on and around the water and boats while providing excellent customer service. Season Dates: May 2024 - September 2024
Pay: $18.75 per hour
