      Description

      W e are looking for a dynamic, knowledgeable, and passionate Fitness Instructor to lead group fitness classes for individuals of all fitness levels. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of fitness modalities, including strength training, cardio, flexibility, and overall wellness. The instructor will motivate and inspire participants, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment where individuals of all abilities can achieve their fitness goals.

      Qualifications

      Duties and Responsibilities

      • T each a variety of fitness classes, including but not limited to: Barre, cardio, strength training, yoga, Pilates, and flexibility classes, tailored to accommodate participants of all fitness levels.
      • Develop and implement class plans and workouts that are both challenging and accessible, ensuring that exercises can be modified for beginners or advanced participants.
      • Ensure all participants are using proper form and techniques to prevent injury and maximize results.
      • P rovide clear, positive, and encouraging verbal cues during class to help participants improve their form and performance.
      • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all participants.
      • F oster a positive, inclusive, and community-oriented atmosphere, making everyone feel welcome regardless of fitness level.
      • Stay up-to-date with the latest fitness trends and certification requirements.
      • Communicate with clients to assess progress, offer advice, and promote other fitness services.
      • Ensure that all equipment is properly set up and maintained.
      • P romote upcoming programs, workshops, and special events.
      • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.

      Knowledge and Skills

      • Certification in group fitness instruction (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA, etc.) or relevant training certification.
      • F irst Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
      • Experience in teaching group fitness classes to individuals of all fitness levels.
      • Knowledge of proper exercise techniques, safety protocols, and injury prevention.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
      • Ability to adapt teaching style to meet the needs of diverse participants.
      • High energy, enthusiastic, and passionate about health and wellness.
      • Ability to work well with a team, as well as independently.

      Certifications and Licenses

      • Specialization or certifications in specific fitness areas (e.g., yoga, barre, Pilates, strength training).

      Working Conditions

      • Typical fitness environment.
      • Position requires a flexible schedule to include holidays.
      • Frequent social interaction.

      Physical Requirements

      • Ability to demonstrate exercises and movements.
      • Ability to lift equipment as needed (typically up to 50 pounds) pushing/pulling.
      • Must be able to stand, move, and lead classes for extended periods.

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and to reach
      above shoulders with hands and arms in order to file a variety of documents; use hands and fingers
      to input data to information system; and talk or hear in order to gather and provide information on
      departmental processes. The employee is often required to sit in order to process information and
      conduct data entry activities.

      ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
      Work is performed in a climate-controlled office without exposure to adverse environmental
      conditions such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise
      extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, toxic agents, violence, disease, or
      pathogenic substances.

      Rate of Pay: $30 per hours.
