Ensuring Chart’s Success…
The New Iberia facility specializes in cold box assembly and fabrication, pressure vessels and other cryogenic equipment as used for the air separation and hydrocarbon industries. The end users of this equipment include all the major LNG, petrochemical and air separation engineering on a worldwide basis. The facility is located at the Port of Iberia.
What Will You Do?
Assist in developing and implementing shop standards and improvements
Provides instruction on fitting techniques, proper tools and proper procedures
Assists in developing and presenting formatted training materials
Works independently in all areas of the shop with fitters and welders in order to raise the level of quality in fitting and solving problems
Works to identify opportunities for technology improvements
Makes training recommendations to supervisors
Provides follow up reports to production supervision on observed deficiencies in fitting
Be able to identify fit up issues rapidly and address them quickly
Promotes safety, honesty and integrity on the job
Required to work at elevated heights up to 75ft

Your Experience Should Be...
Must have through knowledge of departmental operations
Must have a complete support of safety procedures
Must have thorough knowledge of shop standards
Must be able to communicate professionally with people at all levels and remain calm and objective
Be a self-starter, creative thinker, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision
Must have good communication skills, especially orally. Able to present to a small group
Some computer skill and familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Classification level of Fitter A1 is required
