  • Job Description

      As a Fixed Income Trader you will:

      • Manage daily trading within Trust Company portfolios

      • Perform bond trading, portfolio construction, research, and data analysis

      • Develop and improve Baird Trust relationships with trading counterparties/broker-dealers

      • Support Portfolio Managers, Trust Administration, and Advisors in managing client relationships and portfolios

      • Conduct credit analysis for various fixed income issuers and assist with “Buy Lists”

      • Consistently maintain proper internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, all applicable SEC, IRS, Federal and State laws and regulations

      • Maintain a complete knowledge of and comply with all company and departmental policies, procedures, and service standards

      What we look for:

      • Four (4) year degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance

      • Masters of Finance or MBA preferred

      • Pursuing or achieved: CFA / CFP / CPA preferred.

      • 2-3 years of financial services experience

      • Knowledge of fixed income markets, including US Treasury, municipal, corporate and government agency bonds preferred

      Licenses/Certifications:

      • FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) Series 7 Required – or ability to obtain.

      • FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) Series 63, 65, or 66 required – or ability to obtain.
