- Assist in loading and unloading equipment and supplies needed for daily work assignments, setting-up worksite traffic and safety controls, and properly securing the work area
- Following traffic control plans and maintaining the control of traffic safety within the work zone according to state and local requirements
- When required, and if appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment used on the jobsite to complete daily work assignments
- Occasionally perform other construction tasks including loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment
- Occasionally install underground telecommunications cabling
- Occasionally assist with placement of conduit and/or cables
- Clearly communicate with all team members
- Complete daily production reports
- Help with site restoration efforts
- Perform work in all weather conditions
- Other duties as assigned
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Possess a Valid Driver's License Required
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT medical certificate physical, driving record and background check
- Previous flagging experience in Oregon state
- Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including weekends and daily overtime when necessary
- Be willing and available to travel and work out of town when neccessary
- Possess current Oregon's Flagger Certification preferred
- Ability to stand and safely manage traffic and pedestrian activity within the workzone with hand paddles and use of handheld radios during the duration of the shift
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Previous experience safely operating various hand tools and utility trucks, is preferred
- Routinely : work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
- Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse, operate vehicle and construction equipment
