Our Risk & Safety Department is growing! We are looking for a Fleet Safety Coordinator to join our team based out of our Issaquah, WA Admin Office.
This position assists with the management and implementation of our driver safety program, including DOT and Non-DOT drivers and vehicles. Driver qualification files, driver selection, monitoring driver behaviors through telematics, and supporting the risk and safety department. This is a full-time, non-union, non-exempt position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
§ Monitor Telematic fleet compliance.
§ Communicate fleet safety policies and practices to all fleet members.
§ Coordinate accident investigations with driver, division management and Risk and Safety Department.
§ Maintain Fleet Telematics Program and database. Work with management and insurance company representatives to meet minimum requirements of company’s fleet safety.
§ Work with operations and maintenance staff to onboard new vehicles with Fleet telematics hardware and link to telematics platform.
§ Develop, manage and coordinate with other departments coaching programs at the regional, divisional and individual level.
§ Assign driver training as needed.
§ Coordinate telematics installation with fleet and maintenance management.
§ Update and submit required reports in a timely manner.
§ Develop and maintain vendor relationships that provide products and support for fleet safety related items, including but not limited to telematics services and driver training.
§ Assist in managing and updating company’s library of safety and driver training resources.
§ Review reports to identify opportunities for safety improvement.
§ Oversee completion of all related audits and ensure audits are uploaded to the telematics database.
§ Review reports of all vehicular, passenger and employee accidents/incidents for determination of cause and preventability, identifying potential trends to be addressed.
§ Review policies and procedures to ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and other regulatory officials.
§ Monitor, create and maintain Driver Qualification Files for CDL drivers and CD-10 CMV drivers.
§ Assist in annual audit of driver files and fleet safety program.
§ Support collaborating teams with safety and training initiatives as required.
§ May require up to 25% local and regional travel and overnight travel on occasion.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
§ Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, and reach
§ Lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
§ The employee will be required to climb ladders, stairs and walk on uneven ground
§ Experience working with and presenting to all levels of Management
§ Ability to present concepts, insights and recommend action based on multiple data platforms
§ Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and motor vehicle screening
o Federal Contractor drug screen includes marijuana
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
§ Administrative experience with a large fleet of vehicles with a background in fleet and safety management
§ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
§ Experience in the transportation and/or construction industry
§ Understanding of the DOT, FMCSA and OSHA rules and regulations
§ Experience with Geotab and/or other Telematics Solutions a plus
§ Experience implementing and administering fleet safety programs

WAGE & BENEFIT INFORMATION
The full annualized pay range for this position is $60,000.00 to $90,000.00. People entering this job typically start between $60,000.00 to $70,000.00, depending on direct professional experience, education, qualifications, and geographic location.
