      The primary purpose of the Flight Attendant position is to ensure the safety and well-being of over 15,000 passengers per year. Although under most circumstances the position will entail routine services such as food and beverage preparation and serving, there remains the real possibility of in-flight emergencies, which the attendant must be prepared to respond to.

      Responsibilities

      As a crew member, provide maximum safety and effective service for passengers and crew members on board the assigned CIGNA aircraft. Carries out other operational duties assigned by the Manager, Flight Operations.

      Pre-flight Duties

      • Duties include checking aircraft safety equipment, aircraft supplies and expected flight conditions (weather, turbulence, etc.).

      • Ensures that requested or anticipated catering requirements are met and are available and, on the aircraft, well before departure time.

      • Greets passengers and checks against manifest. Hangs coats and stows briefcases.

      • Briefs passengers on emergency procedures and aircraft safety features and secures cabin before takeoff.

      In-flight Services:

      • Maintains continuous awareness of the safety and comfort of passengers, assisting them when necessary (first aid, CPR, AED)

      • Communicate with passengers regarding weather conditions, ground travel arrangements and other pertinent factors concerning the flight.

      • Distributes newspapers and magazines, provides food and beverage services to passengers and offers other in-flight conveniences.

      • Monitors flight for routine and non-routine situations.

      Post-Flight Duties:

      • Ensure that passengers receive all their personal belongings (coats, briefcases, etc.), and that all their needs (ground transportation, cabs, etc.) are taken care of.

      • Cleans the cabin and removes unnecessary items from the aircraft and then restocks in preparation for the next flight.

      Qualifications

      • Certified graduate of approved flight attendant school under FAA FAR 91,121 or 135.

      • High school graduate. Additional education preferred but not required.

      • Certified in CPR and In Flight First Aid.

      • One year of in-flight service experience with corporate or commercial airline.

      • Ability to travel internationally with a valid US issued passport.


      If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
