Travel: Ability to travel.This position may be deployed from 30-90 days for strategic efforts. Security Clearance: This Flight Data Analyst must hold an active Secret Clearance. Responsibilities Data collection (to include real-time, post, and truth data), data pre-processing (cutting data), data reduction, data archiving, and meeting data deliverables Troubleshooting missing data and malfunctioning network systems Manage user account setup and Active Directory management on Windows systems Work Flight Test organization Hardware and/or software programming experience Work with IRIG Standard 106 including Chapter 10 (recorded data) and Chapter 9 (TMATS) Understanding and/or knowledge of Teletronics Corporation (TTC) hardware and software Symvionics IADS (Interactive Analysis and Display System) use and programming Understanding of Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) regulations an operating procedure Work with communications protocols, Specifically Fibre Channel, MIL-STD-1553, IEE-1394, CAIS Bus (Common Airborne Instrumentation System Bus), RS-485 Write customized procedures and user guidance to support specific IT tasks Sustaining Systems/Software/Database Support RMF/JSIG Compliance Manage and maintain VMWare and Windows servers Perform operating system maintenance and updates for Windows Maintain 3rd party software maintenance and updates on Window Manage system and data backup and recovery on Windows Qualifications Must be a US Citizen. Must have a active/current passport. Must have minimum DOD Secret Level Clearance or higher. Ability to obtain an IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M (i.e., Sec+ CE [MCSA]). Experience with recognizing deficiencies in processes Experience with customer focus with field service experience Background in Aviation (Preferred). Understanding of general aviation procedures and regulations. Ability to organize and compile data as needed. Ability to occasionally travel away from the normal duty location, to include deployments CONUS and OCONUS. Ability to travel on military and commercial aircraft. Ability to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, shift work, and /or overtime to support mission requirements. Personal Attributes: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Ability to communicate well with senior military leaders and civilian government officials. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
