- Reporting to the Director of Acute Care the Clinical Nurse demonstrates applies the nursing process to plan and manage the care of med/surg/tele or med/stroke patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
- Must have availability to work 60 hours in a 6-week schedule.
- Must have availability to work 84 hours in a 6-week schedule.
- Plans and manages care of routine patients
- Educates patients and family
- Planning continuum of care
- Providing safe care and ensuring an excellent patient experience
- Floating to ED or ICU to care for medical surgical boarding patients
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (BSN or MSN) preferred. Note, if the BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame.
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)
- At least 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting required for float pool nurses.
