Job Description
- Req#: 7581
- Request and receive housekeeping supplies and equipment from supply room and prepare cleaning solutions according to policies and procedures.
- Clean equipment daily; ensuring that all items are returned in an orderly manner.
- Maintain all assigned areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
- Respond to emergency calls or request for housekeeping services.
- Gather refuse from various locations and transports to appropriate locations, i.e. incinerator, compactor, following established sanitation procedures. To include cleaning waste receptacles.
- Furniture transporting for assigned areas.
- Replenishes supplies such as: paper towels, soap, toilet tissue, etc; as needed.
- Ensures safe clean attractive environment for patient, residents, staff and family members at all times.
- Ability to operate machines to complete floor striping and scrubbing.
- Ability to perform floor scrubbing, striping and refinishing.
- Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.
- Performs compliance requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Must adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards including creating positive relationships with patients/families, coworkers, colleagues and with self.
- Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet.
- Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- Able to comprehend, follow both, verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to understand, follow both, training and in-service education. No previous experience required
Overview
Utilize several different styles of machines/tools to maintain/sustain the different surfaces in Fayette Medical Center. Follow established policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout Fayette Medical Center.
