      What you’ll be doing:

      We are looking for an energetic floor technician to keep our facilities’ floors clean. You will be responsible for maintaining all floor areas and for sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. You will be responsible for dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing floors, remove spots from carpets, perform bonnet and carpet extraction cleaning, dispose of trash, and assist with hazardous waste collection. You will operate floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, canister vacuum cleaners, and shop vacuums, and you will wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment.

      Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30PM-1:30AM

      Floor Tech Responsibilities:

      • Cleaning, dusting, mopping, stripping, and waxing floors.
      • Moving furniture before and after cleaning.
      • Operating floor equipment including extractors and buffing machines.
      • Use hand and power tools such as floor polishers, vacuum cleaners, mops, floor strippers, carpet cleaners.
      • Inspect floors for any damage and carrying out minor repairs.
      • Measuring chemicals correctly.
      • Operating chemical dispensing units.
      • Labeling chemicals correctly.
      • Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
      • Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
      • Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor.
      • Assisting with the hazardous waste collection as requested by your supervisor.
      • Other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.

      Floor Tech Requirements:

      • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred.
      • Prior floor care experience preferred.
      • Prior professional janitorial or cleaning experience.
      • Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
      • Excellent communication skills.
      • Ability to pass a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.
